Fundraising – the big idea

So, this is the plan …

  • Travel by pink transport (eg pink plane/boat/microlite/smartcar) to a couple of countries where they have a better rate of cancer survival than here – like France and Finland.
  • Interview top oncologists in these places to find out what they do differently.
  • Get some national media outlets to run the interviews.
  • Get celebrity endorsement from famous people who’ve had breast cancer (eg Kylie, Sally from Corrie, Jennifer Saunders)
  • Come back and petition the UK government.

Why? To raise money and awareness. We have one of the worst cancer survival rates in Europe.

When? Around September time, in preparation for breast-cancer awareness month in October.

Needs finessing I know. And I will run it past some cancer charities to see if they think it’s a good idea.  Comments/suggestions welcome…

Fantastic idea – it hardly needs any ‘finessing’ surely…you, Kylie and a pink smart car going to Finland..
ps don’t forget Jenni Murray from Radio 4

You could’ve borrowed the pink vespa if only I hadn’t sold it!
